Prophet’s Family Tree

According to Islamic belief, Adam was the first human and the first prophet created by Allah. After him came many generations, including Sheeth (Seth), and later Nuh (Noah), who preached to his people and survived the great flood by Allah’s command. Humanity then continued through his son Sam (Shem). Many generations later came Ibrahim (Abraham), one of the greatest prophets in Islam. Ibrahim’s son Ismail settled in Makkah, and from his descendants came the Arab tribes and the Quraysh tribe.

Through many generations after Ismail came Adnan, then Fihr (Quraysh), Qusayy, Abd Manaf, Hashim, and Abdul Muttalib. Abdul Muttalib’s son Abdullah ibn Abd al-Muttalib became the father of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the final messenger of Allah and the last prophet in Islam. Muslims believe that prophethood ended with Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and no prophet came after him.
